Oiji Mi

Where: 17 W 19th St, New York, NY 10011 | Flatiron

If you seek an extraordinary dining adventure in Manhattan, Oiji Mi is the destination that will leave you savoring the memories long after you leave.

The restaurant only serves a five-course prix fixe menu, priced at $145 per person, which will be available a la carte from its bar and lounge area. The menu will rotate regularly, with holdovers from the team’s first restaurant — including its namesake Oiji bowl, brimming with uni and sweet shrimp — and new items that toe the line between traditional and modern Korean cooking with fanciful ingredients.

I think the one thing that impresses me the most about Oiji is the fact that it feels so unique. You will be floored by how good a few particular items from this menu are. It’s an upscale experience, and you even get the feeling that you’re going to have a special meal from the moment you sit down.

In conclusion, Oiji Mi is a culinary haven where every dish is a masterpiece and every bite is a journey.

One of my all-time favorite things to do is go to happy hours. Embarking in the realm of happy hours is like unlocking a secret world of culinary delights at a fraction of the cost. It's not just about sipping on discounted beverages; it's a gateway to indulging in your favorite dishes without breaking the bank.

Asset in the Upper West Side is a culinary gem that promises a delightful journey for your taste buds. The spring rolls, featuring succulent duck confit paired with zesty spicy mustard and a duck sauce, are a revelation of flavors and textures. The spicy tuna crispy rice, this dish is a true showstopper. The crispy rice serves as a bed for the spiced tuna, topped with a luscious drizzle of spicy mayo and kabayaki sauce.

As for the cauliflower with general tso, Asset has elevated this humble vegetable to new heights. The cauliflower, perfectly cooked and generously coated in a flavorful general tso sauce, strikes an ideal balance between sweet and savory.

Overall, Asset not only lives up to its name but exceeds expectations with its inventive and delectable offerings. The spring rolls, spicy tuna crispy rice, and cauliflower dish are must-tries that showcase the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. Your taste buds will thank you for this Upper West Side culinary adventure.
