Current market: Last month Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate markets experienced a slight decline. Manhattan saw a reduction in high-end property transactions, despite competitive pricing and buyer interest. Brooklyn, while still attracting buyers seeking more space and a vibrant community, also faced a dip in demand.

What we expect: As we move into July, we expect this trend to continue, with the summer season likely bringing a modest slowdown. Buyers and investors might adopt a wait-and-see approach before the anticipated market rebound in the fall. Although the uncertainty of the election year might bring a bit of a slow down. 

Both boroughs may see reduced activity, with Brooklyn potentially experiencing a lesser decline in transaction volume compared to Manhattan due to low supply and steady demand.

Some of the best things to do in summer are NYC events in July. Even after all the 4th of July events simmer down, there are still many awesome things to do for the duration of the month. After Independence Day, enjoy fantastic outdoor fun, hit up one of the city’s many rooftops, and make sure to pencil in getting a tan at the best beaches in NYC while the weather is still hot, hot, hot.
